Hi, I’m Micaela, a Wedding, Lifestyle, and Portrait Photographer


I was born & raised in the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains. There I found & married my highschool sweetheart, Jacob. Together we have three precious boys - Tate, Nash & Huck & a sweet baby girl, Emmie. I am 100% obsessed with my  family & the life we share together.


I have been a photographer for the past 7 years and it's been absolutely magical. What started as a hobby and something fun to do quickly became a thriving business in front of my eyes. In the past 7 years I have captured over 100+ beautiful weddings -- & so many amazing sessions for my wonderful clients.

my reason why:

Becoming a wife and mother has been one of the greatest blessings in my life. It has completely changed the way I see the world and given me a deeper appreciation for how quickly life moves. These moments—both big and small—are so fleeting, and before we know it, they become cherished memories.



This season of life has shown me just how important it is to capture and preserve those moments. The laughter, the connection, the milestones, and even the quiet in-between moments all deserve to be remembered.


That is the heart behind my business and the reason I do what I do. My passion is documenting your most meaningful moments so you can relive them, treasure them, and pass them down for generations to come.

I approach every wedding day and session with intention, focusing on capturing the genuine moments that make your story unique. While I’ll guide and pose you when needed, I also believe some of the most beautiful memories happen naturally. By creating space for those authentic interactions to unfold, I’m able to preserve the magic, emotion, and connection that make your images truly timeless.

I love going thrifting, cooking for my kids, hiking or spending time on the lake with my family.

Favorite places

I have so enjoyed traveling to The Amalfi Coast as well as St. Lucia with my husband. We also love taking our kids to Disney World (I probably love it just as much, if not more, than them).

Dream Vacation:

I would absolutely love to travel to Egypt & Morocco. Another bucket list item for me is an African Safari.
